2012 Christmas Social
On Wednesday, December 5th, 2012, the RCMP VA (PEI) held its annual Christmas Dinner & Social at the Culinary Institute of Canada, Holland College Campus, Charlottetown, PEI.
Doors opened at 5:45 PM, and the evening began with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, including fresh Island Mussels. President Mike O'Neil welcomed everyone, including Veterans and spouses, the Commanding Officer and other members of "L" Division. Following Fr. Eric Dunn's blessing, a gorgeous meal - prepared by the Culinary Institute - was served. The Yukon Gold potato soup with double smoked bacon was a smash and the traditional Christmas dinner - well the picture speaks for itself. Dessert was a chocolate lovers' delight - a dark mousse fit for Kings, and Queens.
Between the entree and dessert, the new members of the Division Executive were introduced and sworn in, as was the new Treasurer.
The evening was capped off with the presentation of the William Edward "Ted" Whelan Memorial Award and announcement of the inaugural winner. More information on the award and the winner can be found on its special page.
